What makes it 72% Baby-Friendly: Stroller access and free infant tickets help, yet no nursing room or change tables and bumpy gravel mean caregivers need their own gear and plan feeds carefully.
Why 2–3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: This timeframe covers the scenic cruise and a lakeside meal without rushing with a baby.
TSS Earnslaw Lake Cruise:
Enjoy a smooth, stroller-friendly steamship journey across Lake Wakatipu.
Tip: Board early to secure pram space and use available infant seats on board.
Gourmet BBQ Dining at Colonel’s Homestead:

What a fabulous experience ! We took the farm tour, and were thrilled to be able to feed so many animals - especially our family favourite the “hairy coos” - and watch sheep shearing. While the farm tour doesn’t include the buffet lunch, you get to do and see so much more and still get a delicious high tea.

We did the buffet lunch and farm show here recently and it was great. The food was well above what we were expecting and a big variety of options. We dined here for our honeymoon and the staff made us feel very taken care of during our dining experience. The live music was also a highlight and Josh + Mist were terrific to watch during the farm show. Would recommend to anyone visiting Queenstown.

The staff were warm and kno...
