What makes it 75% Baby-Friendly: Flat paths ease stroller use and grass lets parents sit to feed; a fully equipped parent room 200 m away offers change tables, but no on-site facility and weekend crowds lower convenience.
Why 3–4 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time to browse stalls, enjoy live music, and feed or change the baby without rushing.
Stroll stroller-friendly paths:
Wide, flat walkways between stalls ease stroller movement.
Tip: Use these smooth paths to cover all stalls without lifting the pram.
Set up a grassy picnic spot:
Quiet lawn corners let you lay a blanket for feeding or naps.
Tip: Bring a waterproof picnic rug and baby blanket.
Visit the playground and sandpit:
Free play area for toddlers and older kids.
Tip: Keep the baby entertained on the edges under your close watch.
Enjoy live music:
Family-friendly acoustic sets on the grass.
Tip: Arrive early to claim bench space or spread your rug near the speakers.

So many wonderful stalls with local produce and local crafts. Live music and a community atmosphere as well. I highly recommend those Malaysian curry puffs with some authentic sambal. Love the dishwashing for plates and cups too. Definitely worth doing if you are in Queenstown.

Really enjoyed these markets. They’re the largest in Queenstown I reckon. Beautiful view. Lots of stalls, including arts & crafts, food, wine, plants, books, coffee trucks and food trucks. Nice live music as well and is dog friendly (except inside the barn).

In summer, pack sunshade, hat and water for the baby. In winter, check market dates and dress your baby in warm layers.
