What makes it 57% Baby-Friendly: Pram-friendly Frankton Track exists and bike trailers can be hired, yet many sections are narrow gravel with no change tables, so carriers, planning and nearby mall parents’ rooms are essential.
Why 3-5 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows a relaxed pace with breaks for snacks, playground time, and baby needs.
Queenstown Gardens to Frankton Marina Return:
12 km round-trip along flat gravel with lake views, beaches, and playgrounds.
Tip: Use a pushchair-friendly path; bring snacks; stop at the Frankton Marina café.
Kelvin Heights Sculpture Trail:
2.5 km loop featuring outdoor art installations and lake vistas.
Tip: Carry baby in a carrier for bumpier sections; picnic at sculpture sites.

The trail entrance is by the lake. It started to rain but the view was spectacular. Just pity i cant get down for a walk.

Well-kept trail along the lake to run, walk or cycle! There are several benches, turn offs to the main road and paths to get to the water! Highly recommend!!

A pleasant, easy walk along the lake from Queenstown to Frankton. Frequented by many walkers & cyclists. There are lots of photo opportunities along the way. It's approximately 5kms to Frankton & there's a cafe at the Frankton end. The trail actually continues on from there

one of the best hiking route in Queenstown if you’re not into extreme or mountain hiking! the scenery along this route was breathtaking, not crowded at all (went in August), many benches along the way, and you will get to see this beautiful side of QTN

An easy and very nearby walking trail takes you out of Queenstown (not that far) so anyone can enjoy this walking trail. We actually started from Lake Wakatipu Viewpoint and we walked down to join the trail first turning toward the airport and later reversing back all the way to Queenstown.
In summer, pack sun protection and water. In winter, trails may be muddy or icy—dress in layers and check conditions before you go.
