What makes it 77% Baby-Friendly: Babies enter free and prams fit most paths, and a baby-change table exists, yet some steep gravel slopes and no private nursing room mean extra effort for carers.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: This lets you enjoy the Kiwi Encounter, Conservation Show and explore at a gentle pace with breaks for your baby.
Kiwi Encounter:
Watch kiwi birds in a red-light nocturnal house.
Tip: Choose a quieter hour and keep the pram nearby.
Conservation Show:
See native parrots and falcons fly free in an outdoor amphitheatre.
Tip: Sit on the café balcony for flat ground with your baby.
Honey Bee Centre:
Taste three types of NZ honey and watch bees at work in a glass hive.
Tip: Sample small amounts during feed breaks.
Self-guided Audio Tour:
Follow an app-led tour with kid-friendly stops through native bush.
Tip: Pause narration any time to attend to your baby.

We had a really nice afternoon at kiwi park! We arrived about 4pm so it was nice and quiet - made it in time to see the kiwis and the last show! The staff were all very friendly and knowledgable!

Lovely park where you can see Kiwi in a dark setting as they are nocturnal animals that are sensitive to light. We did the Wildlife Show when we entered the park in which we learned about the animals that live in NZ, afterwards we got a short but informative session in the dark habitat where currently four Kiwi live ("Kiwi encounter"). Recommend you to check out the timing of the two different hi...

Loved this place. Exhibits are set up and maintained nicely. The conservation show was really cool and interactive. The people doing the free honey testing were engaging. The animals of course were amazing to see up close especially the birds!

Kiwi Park is a short tour to pass by while in Queenstown. There will be a few species of birds and reptiles to watch on. The main attraction is the Kiwi visiting. Keep in mind that the Kiwi enclosure is very dark and no photos or flashes are allowed. Its a bit pricey but a cool experience.

Great conservation park. I saw three Kiwi birds and a variety of other native creatures. Informative wildlife talk and demonstration. Gift shop with lovely souvenirs and locally made items. Bee store also Well worth the trip, and feel like you're making a positive contribution to nature by being there
In summer, bring sun protection and insect repellent; in winter, dress in layers and expect muddy paths—use a front-carry pack on steep sections.
