What makes it 74% Kids-Friendly: Kids 7–12 may play and even dress in Victorian outfits; adult supervision is mandatory and puzzles are family-friendly, yet under-7s learn little and VR headsets suit 8+ only.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Allows time for one indoor escape, a short break, and an optional VR session or play-at-home kit
Indoor Gold Rush Escape Room:
Solve 1860s gold-rush puzzles in a climate-controlled room
Tip: Kids under 7 play free; choose a slot when staff can offer extra hints for younger children
VR Escape Mission:
Use VR headsets to complete a 1.5-hour virtual escape challenge
Tip: Best for ages 8+; older child and one adult can pair up to share headsets comfortably
Play-at-Home Escape Kit:
Download and run a puzzle game in your accommodation
Tip: Perfect as a quieter activity for the 3-year-old and to extend fun after your live game

Lena was a great game master! My husband and I had so much fun completing his first escape room! A great rainy day, or any day, activity!

We had some spare time while visiting Queenstown and decided to do the hardest escape room. It was very fun and challenging for our group of 6! Absolutely love it.

We absolutely loved it!!! The mechanics are next level!!! Thanks Lena for being such an awesome host and making us feel like we are really clever hahaha. We enjoyed these so much we did all 3 rooms during our time in Queenstown!!!

Best Escape room we've ever done! Super smooth mechanics (normally clunky mechanisms have increased our time). Room had a logical layout to it and was great difficulty for 3 adults. Staff were real friendly and they let us take a mint photo with props

Did this as a rainy day activity...so much fun! Great game, challenging. Good decor, elements work well. Good immersion in story line and tying it into the history of the region. Would have loved to stay and do more games but ran out of time.
In summer (Dec–Feb) and winter ski season (Jun–Aug), book at least 2 days ahead. Weekday mornings are less crowded.
