The Mayfair (solo trip)

Rooms were very clean and up-to-date with modern times. Bed was comfortable. Service was excellent from every staff member we interacted with, whether at the front desk or restaurant. Food and drinks were decent. Overall would recommend and I would consider coming back again in the future

We had a great stay here. This hotel is very modern. Rooms are clean and well decorated and organized. Good location right off the park. The city is fully walkable from here.

Good, but definitely not a five star hotel and experience! The rooms are clean, comfy, and very spacious; but the hotel falls short of a five star experience. I stayed here for 2 nights following the last leg of my honeymoon throughout the South Island - so we had quite a bit of luggage with us. Upon check-in, there was no offer of help with luggage to bring to the room…I had to ask to use the lug...

We had a wonderful stay at The Mayfair on our recent trip to Christchurch. We were upgraded which was a lovely surprise for my husband's birthday. Service was great, everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious, modern and clean. Bed was comfortable.
