Novotel Christchurch Cathedral Square (solo trip)

While the central location is fantastic and the the service was great the room was dated, with plenty of scratches and general wear and tear, it could have done with a deep clean as was dusty, stains on roof in bathroom and general grime. The main bug bear was the lack of pillows, while the room had plenty of large square cushions we only had 1 pillow each for the bed, both had seen better days an...

Love this hotel. Perfect location, exceptional staff service, delicious food and the most comfortable and clean rooms. The complimentary mini bar is a nice touch and especially love the Espresso Martini on tap which can be ordered as your welcone drink if you're an Accor Plus member. Brilliant.

Surprisingly a lovely quiet hotel with great staff. Apart from the room configuration the bedroom was clean, bed comfortable, and the view was awesome. Good selection for breakfast. 8 minute walk from the Christchurch central bus station, 5 minutes walk to local bars and restaurants and to the cities shops. So overall great experience.

Perfect location just right in the middle of town next to the square and the city library. We only back in Christchurch for a couple nights to visit family member so we decided to stay in the city central so we can walk to food and some museums when we have free time. We had a good stay at Novotel Christchurch. The location was great and so was the room. The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. The buffet breakfast was quite repetitive, with the same limited menu offered every day during our 4-day stay. And the room service was extremely slow. We waited 1 hour for some chicken nuggets and fries for the kids.
