Stayed at Golden Hotel for 2 nights. This hotel exceeded my expectations. Very clean and tidy, amenities were great. Very close to food places and Westfield mall. Will be coming back here whenever we come back to Christchurch.

Golden was like a home away from home, it was a great place to stay for the start and end of our trip of the south Island. Beds were comfortable, well maintained and cleaned, well sound proofed rooms and very large TV. The receptionist who I assume was the owner was very friendly and kind. The free room upgrade was a plesent surprise giving the 2 of us plenty of space. Highly recommend.

This is a surprisingly good place to stay. It's close to the city and shopping. Right in the middle of the Asian quarter there is a great selection of Asian restaurants & food stores nearby.
