Reading Cinemas Christchurch (solo trip)

Great prices nice clean cinema's. Convenient parking etc.

The tickets are reasonably priced and scanning my qr code in my email on the self kiosk was easy to print my ticket out. But even though we were in the 1st session at 9:45 the theatre seats were very worn and had popcorn and old movie tickets in them. It was also very cold. Need to wear a jacket or bring a blanket next time.

Travelled from the Novotel Christchurch Airport to The Palms (in a taxi $88) to specifically see a movie on the Titan Luxe screen as the description of it on the website sold me but, truth be told, the picture quality was soft and the screen refresh rate was obvious and slow. Our favourite movie cinema in ChCh. Prefer the seats that do not recline and cheaper. Pricing goes up and down as certain days/movies are cheaper than others and prefer to book online but this is slightly more as well. Great we can bring our own food as we have eating disorders. The theatre itself was fine. However, the staff let a woman and three children under four in to watch the Jurassic Park movie which finished at 10pm. The kids cried for the first 20 minutes.
