Beautiful massive park in centre of Christchurch. We arrived as the trees blossomed all around the park. Beautiful walks along running water , stunning old trees. Way older than my 67 yrs.

Beautiful park! I recently moved to Christchurch, and I feel lucky to live close by. I keep coming back to enjoy the flowers and the relaxing vibe.

It’s such a peaceful spot to wander, with so many trees, colorful flowers, and the gentle flow of the Avon River. The birds are always singing, adding to the serenity of it all. Everywhere you look, there’s beauty in every corner. It’s the kind of place where you can’t help but feel connected to nature.

Best place to take walks on. Very spacious park and has been a part of Christchurch’s identity as the Garden City. Plenty of spaces to take walks and jogs on. Beautifully carved and is clean every time, so you can see how well it’s been taken care of and how disciplined everyone visiting is. Christchurch truly is beautiful and Hagley Park adds to that!
In spring, enjoy blossoms under plane trees. In summer, visit early to avoid midday sun. Autumn brings mild weather and fewer visitors.
