I didn't have enough time to explore the whole building, only managed to go through a couple rooms on the ground floor. Excellent art museum. Current exhibitions visited included 20th and 21st century curated art works with a very strong focus on New Zealand artists. Well worth the time and effort to include in your itinerary through Christchurch. Restaurant and shop on site. Mobility access and support available. Two thumbs up!!
