What makes it 44% Baby-Friendly: Infants can be pushed around the flat village or carried on the short forest loop, and the spacious café fits strollers. No baby-change rooms, and babies are barred from chairlift and zipline, so options stay narrow.
Note: Christchurch Adventure Park is 44% Baby-Friendly. You may want to consider other Baby-Friendly Things to Do in Christchurch for a more suitable experience.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for the forest loop, fairy door hunt and a relaxed café break with baby.
Forest Loop Trail:
A 30–40 minute pine-forest loop suitable for families carrying babies in a sling.
Tip: Wear sturdy shoes and use a baby carrier; some sections have exposed roots and gravel.
Fairy Door Trail:
Spot hidden miniature doors around the village area for a fun treasure hunt.
Tip: Bring a carrier or small stroller; keep an eye out near tree bases and under benches.
Adventure Park Café & Bar:
Licensed café with a spacious heated deck and forest views.
Tip: Ask for a spot with stroller access; the menu has light meals and hot drinks.

Went for mountain biking on vacation from the United States and the wife did free hiking. All the staff from the moment you walk into the ticket shop were amazing. They take the time to get you set up for the trails and are super nice. The park was very well maintained and my wife got to hike up the mountain and ride the chairlift down which was a great activity for here while I rode.

Loved the zip lines. Fantastic and the guides were great. Recommend this to anyone who loves nature with a little extra in the mix. Well worth the effort, the views are spectacular.

We felt so welcomed. Every staff member spoke to us and chatted. We're in our 70's and they were considerate and kind. Awesome thoughts to you all. Have an amazing summer. Well done team.

The zip lining was incredible. We took advantage of the full package which included the chairlift and 4 zip lines and was so much fun. Ellie and Lilly were excellent instructors and the attention to detail for our safety was second to none, and their humour just made the time a lot of fun. Definitely recommended.

Spent the day on the trails and had a blast. Chairlift was a fun experience in itself. Loads of varied runs for all levels that were well maintained and easy to follow. Great staff and facilities. Pretty amazing setting with stunning views over Christchurch. Highly recommended. Will def return!
In winter the deck is heated but trails can be muddy. In summer bring a windbreaker for cool hilltop breezes.
