Novotel Auckland Ellerslie (solo trip)

Room was okay but no casting or apps for us to relax and chill watch movies. Very disappointed that we pay 760 for our room and not even a working tv? Bar staff was really good to us. Food was not what it should be I understand that every chef has their style but how can u get pasta so wrong?

The attitude and behaviour of the reception staff on arrival should have forewarned us that it wasn’t going to be a great experience! The front of house restaurant staff and food, barman and Ricardo at front desk on departure managed to redeem our stay somewhat Our stay at the Sebel manukau the previous weekend was a far better experience. Hard to comprehend that they are both four star hotels

In thursday out Monday for a conference, check in and out - easy in house room cleaning and tidy - excellent buffet food - not great - too much sugary foods and carbs which make everyone want to fall asleep in the next session! chicken always dry, not enough veges, fruit platters (ie cut up) will always work better than a fruit bowl, not many will crunch into a whole apple, though all the bananas ...

Excellent service from the staff here. On arrival the staff were so friendly, welcoming and chatty. A lady gave our son a cute stuffed toy which was amazing. Buffet breakfast was fantastic. Bar staff were also a highlight as we spent a bit of time eating and drinking here and they were more than happy for our kids to be down there too. Rooms were all that we needed. highly recommend

The Rooms here are so big. Its nice having that extra space when traveling. I really enjoy the quality of menu items for room service. The lamb gnocchi is my favorite at the moment. Lovely warm and friendly check in and out. My one suggestion is: All the pillows on the bed are the same. Would be good to have at least one or two different ones please.
