Auckland City Hotel (couple trip)

I had a great experience here. The walk from the Intercity Bus stop to the hotel was quick and easy. I noticed upon arrival that there wasn't a ramp to get up, but during my stay upon leaving my room for the night I did notice a ramp. The staff members- both front desk and restaurant, are very courteous! They've been very understanding and accommodative of our special meal requests due to dietary limitations, and were also promptly helpful in letting us know some good areas to explore around in the vicinity. The ambience is great and well- maintained vintage vibes to experience :)

Good central location and easy to get around from here, which is the main plus. Rooms were clean but quite small and a bit dated. Service was fine but not very attentive, and the atmosphere felt more functional than welcoming. Parking is expensive and limited. Decent for a short stay if you just need somewhere in the city, but don’t expect much beyond the basics.

This hotel is budget and is definitely that. However, it was clean and perfectly fine. Area is right opposite a mission so there were always a lot of homeless close to the hotel. Cheapest shower curtain and toilet paper I have ever experienced. One cleaner was terrific and the other seemed to be taking the easiest way to complete her work each day.
