The rooms were clean and spacious. Towels were clean and clear. Great kitchen set up. All you need to bring is salt and pepper. I will definitely stay again soon. My new place to stay when in the city.

Abaco suited me well. Travelling alone from Melbourne to Auckland to reunite with old friends, most of them residing in a relatively short distance from Ponsonby. Very happy to recommend to visitors to Auckland. Good room with all necessary amenities and a spa bath. Hosts are responsive and pleasant. Off street parking is ample. Lots off local shops and eateries. Easy access to the city, the harbour, motorways and the bridge.

There are advantages to staying at an older motel. The kitchen here actually has an oven, for instance. And I really liked the spa tub. But the best aspect was how friendly and helpful the people are. Thanks, Sheryl, and thanks, Logan, for everything, including the advice on local restaurants. Had great fish and chips today and yesterday as a result.

Great spot to stay for out of towners, close to the city and easy access to the north shore. Cafes, restaurants and bars all close by. We had a 2 bedroom and it was lovely quiet and dark, also felt secure and safe with a young child. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only downside is that the place needs a bit of maintenance and TLC. Would definitely stay here again.
