  • Baby care free services: Changing tables, lactation room, cloakroom and lockers are complimentary.

Challenges:

  • Crowded galleries: Popular works can draw crowds; narrow halls may feel tight with a stroller.
  • Limited seating: Benches are scattered; bring a small travel mat to rest when needed.

The Mauritshuis is a beautifully curated museum with an exceptional collection, including several world-famous paintings like Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring and Rembrandt’s The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp. The galleries are intimate and thoughtfully arranged, which makes it easy to appreciate each masterpiece up close. However, the museum is quite small, and the ticket price feels a b...

A small but nice museum with a collection of beautiful paintings. I went there to see the Girl with the Pearl Earring. It was interesting to watch experts clean up one of the paintings. Staff are friendly & helpful, the museum & facilities are clean and the shop has nice souvenirs. You can buy your tickets at the reception as well as leave your coat and bags.
