What makes it 68% Kids-Friendly: Children love the rope-guided climb and cycling, but lack of railings, strong sun, and zero kid-specific facilities mean adults must supervise closely throughout the visit.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: A 2-3 hour visit lets you climb the pyramid, bike the paths, and explore key ruins without tiring the kids.
Climb Nohoch Mul Pyramid:
Scale 120 steep steps to reach the 42 m summit for a 360° jungle view.
Tip: Start at opening, hold the side rope, take breaks and let kids count steps for fun.
Bike or hire a bici-taxi:
Ride along ancient sacbé roads on single bikes or two-seater pedal carts.
Tip: Bring helmets, swap riders often and use bici-taxis one way to save little legs.
Explore the Great Ball Court:
Walk around the I-shaped court and imagine the ancient Mayan game of pok-ta-pok.
Tip: Download a free site map or grab a pamphlet at the entrance for family-friendly facts.

An amazing place. To see technology at its finest through its architecture and to see it still intact was an incredible experience!

I went to 3 different ruins on my trip and this was by far my favorite. That shade and the forest was magic.

It's surrounded by the jungle so plenty of shade and a nice walk. Big parking on site, cost us 70 pesos and as usual at all archeological sites in Yucatan you pay two fees, one to enter as a tourist and one ticket for the e...

Really nice walk through the forest with a nice pyramids. Great place to be in a hot day as you are in a shade all the time. We went there really early so no one was there which was nice to have the place just for us. After an hour it started to filling up with people so I recommend to go early.

Its a nice place to visit. To really appreciate the whole trip its best to have a guide to tell you the history and you could understand what its all about. Lots of things to see. Trip on a bike to the ruins was awesome. Nature at its best.
Visit November–April for drier weather. In June–October bring a rain poncho, anti-slip shoes and plan around midday storms. Always go early to avoid heat.
