What makes it 72% Baby-Friendly: Palapas give shade and toilets allow diaper changes, yet soft sand complicates stroller use and no dedicated nursing room or indoor cool area exists, limiting comfort on hot, long baby days.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: 2–3 hours gives time for a beach stroll, baby play, shade breaks and a snack.
Relax under palapas:
Find free thatched-roof palapas near the shore for shade.
Tip: Arrive by 9 AM to grab a palapa before they fill up.
Splash in shallow water:
Let your baby sit and splash in the gentle, waist-deep waves.
Tip: Use swim diapers and bring a small bucket for sand play.
Stroll with stroller or carrier:
Walk along the soft white sand using a all-terrain stroller or baby carrier.
Tip: Lock stroller wheels when stopped to avoid rolling in the sand.
Photo at “Cancun” sign:
Capture a family shot in front of the colorful beach letters.
Tip: Go early for bright light and fewer people in the frame.

Beautiful, quiet beach. The sand is soft and the water is perfect Great for a quick stop on your way to the airport or a full on beach day.

The water was pleasantly warm, the views were beautiful, and the beach was exceptionally clean. The restroom facilities were well maintained, and parking was convenient with assistance available from attendants who help guide you for tips. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and well-organized experience.

Beautiful beach and amazing blue water! The water was a little wild the day we went but terrific for wave jumping. Free palapas, life guards and tourist police around.

Playa Delfines (Dolphin Beach) is one of the nicest and most beautiful beaches in Cancún. It’s wide, clean, and has soft white sand with stunning turquoise water. There’s plenty of space on the beach, so it never feels too crowded. It’s a great spot for relaxing, walking, and taking photos — especially near the famous Cancún sign. One thing to keep in mind is parking — it can be very difficult. I...

It looked like a very nice beach with white sand. The day that I went there it was very windy and cloudy and the water was quite wavy. I didn't go in the water but it looked like a nice spot to chill on the beach. Change rooms are available. I didn't see any vendors selling food there.
High season (Dec–Apr) brings crowds and strong sun; pack extra sunscreen. In rainy season (May–Oct) expect brief afternoon showers; plan shade breaks.
