Ixora Hotel Penang (couple trip)

I got an old room. Though all the facilities worked well, the cleanliness of the bed cover is doubtful as i saw spots on it. Maybe need to wash it more thoroughly?. The service counter was so slow. Just to check in need to wait for more than 10 minutes. I did not know why the staffs seemed very relax and had no urge to do the works faster. The staff at the check-in counter are very nice, as are the staff at the cafe. The room furniture is generally okay, but the cleanliness is not satisfactory. Dust is clearly visible on the headboard (see picture), dirt marks on the carpet, the table still has food residue (sesame - see picture). Everything else is okay. Need to improve the cleanliness of the room.

Be extra carefull when they are asking for deposit. Double check the amount they wrote. If needed, take photos also. The room and bathroom was spacious, and the cleaness level is just acceptable. Neighbourhood is ok, can find simple food and convenient store nearby.

Customer service at the reception was okay, and free parking is provided for hotel guests. However, the room was disappointing, the TV didn’t work, the mini fridge was broken, and cleanliness was poor with hair everywhere and cobwebs on the ceiling.
