Overall a lovely experience, being in a mini jungle with all sorts of plants around you. The fish spa was a unique experience One thing was very annoying though. The labels are very unclear and a lot of times we really struggled to find out which plants were which. Navigation with the map was also not easy

Interesting place to visit even though it takes some attention to details to appreciate the place. Several small water features adds to the charm of the place. The garden could have been better curated and maintained. Difficult to get a Grab back to town and mosquito repellent highly recommended.

This is such a beautiful, healing, and serene place to unwind. Many various plants and herbs to explore. Various interesting activities, classes, and workshops are held here too. A great place for artists who love sketching and painting. Do drop by.

This is such a hidden gem of Penang, anyone coming here must make this a pitstop. It is so tranquil and peaceful and interesting plants can be seen at every corner. No trees are cut - all structures are built around nature, a clear sign that the team puts nature first. I especially loved the fish spa pond, natural river stream flowing through ensuring hygiene, with little fish happy to snack on yo...

We visited the tropical spice garden on our last full day in Penang and it was a fabulous experience. The knowledge the staff have is amazing. We got a tour round the garden and learnt so much things I never would have thought of. This was then followed by a cooking class. We made Vegetable Fritters, Nyonya Assam Fish Curry and Banana Fritters. Would 100% recommend this experience.

When is the best time to visit Tropical Spice Garden (Penang, Malaysia)?

Visit during the dry season (November to March). Mornings are cooler and less crowded. Carry a light raincoat for sudden showers.
