Rooms are clean and big, but the hotel is in an awkward location for getting to or from, especially if you're walking, so don't spend the extra money because it's "centrally located". Have always liked Holiday Inn across Europe but this was even better. First time I've been able to eat meat at breakfast with everything halal. Staff all really friendly and welcoming. Convenient location from the airport unless you want to stay up on the mountain. Parking also easy.

Overall, we liked this hotel and enjoyed the room and making use of the gym. However we did some laundry at the hotel to find out after the machine we used was mouldy and made our clothes smell - when we asked the night manager for a refund to rewash the clothes again in another (clean) machine she refused on the basis that "this had never happened before" so we had to cough up more money to rewas...

Great place to stay if you are in Kota Kinabalu and reasonably priced - about 15 minutes from the International Airport by taxi. A 15 minute walk from the harbour area, which is very pleasant for an evening meal or drink.
