Atelier Hotel Johor Bahru (couple trip)

Atelier Hotel JB stay was such a letdown. The bedsheets had hair on them, the towels were frayed, and there’s absolutely zero soundproofing. You can hear every door slam and conversation along the corridor. Worst of all the awful loud KTV singing from the building next door that went on late into the night.. hotel provides earplugs, which really says everything.

Would give a 5 ⭐️, but our room had a constant noise. And quite loud too A kind of drilling/ humming sound 24/7 Mattress had good support. There were water dispensers at the lift lobby and at our floor too There was also free coffee /tea/ snacks at the lobby. Lady at the reception was friendly and helpful. No bar fridge in the rooms But they provided these water bottles for use Monday and Thu...

We stayed at this hotel during June 2025 and found the cozy room to be clean and decorated in a minimalist industrial style. Stepping outside the hotel is like entering a different world. Directly opposite, the morning brings a vibrant "kampung" atmosphere with vendors selling fresh seafood, chicken, vegetables, snacks and a traditional coffee shop.

Cosy hotel and clean room. However, with no curtain around the bathtub shower, water splashes onto the floor, making it wet and slippery, which could be unsafe for kids and the elderly. Bath towels are quite old and torn- look more like rags. Hope the hotel can consider improving these areas to make the stay even more comfortable for guests.

Everything is great except for the booking mistake (or misunderstanding I am not sure) which was rectified fast. We had to keep changing the Grab location before even arriving there so the driver was not really thrilled about that. The surrounding has most if not all the amenities and good food. Btw the soundproofing can be improved. We can hear the neighbours using the hairdryer, talking, houseke...
