What makes it 63% Kids-Friendly: Children enjoy choosing snacks and toys if you come before 6 PM, but narrow lanes, passing cars, oily floors, and no toilets, seats, or play areas demand constant adult supervision.
Why 3-4 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Long enough to browse stalls, sample snacks, and let kids play without rushing.
Snack Hunt:
Browse food stalls for local treats like coconut ice cream and jackfruit pieces.
Tip: Let each child choose one snack to share.
Toy Stall Browsing:
Find balloons, puzzles, and fidget toys among merchandise stalls.
Tip: Set a small budget to teach kids simple bargaining.
Juice Break:
Sip fresh avocado or passion-fruit juice at juice carts.
Tip: Order two sizes to share and cool off.
Family Photo Spot:
Take photos under string lights along the street.
Tip: Use a smartphone tripod or ask a stallholder for a quick snap.
Street Food Sampling:
Try kid-friendly bites like muah chee and mango sticky rice.
Tip: Order small portions and share to taste more items.

Lots of food at the night market. Favourites are the fried oyster, fried kway teow, fried prawn fritter, popcorn. Satay and okonomiyaki is not good. The greatest shock is nobody is selling ramly burger?!

Really fantastic market! So many food choices and all of them were very yummy. Wish there was more space to sit down and eat our goods though.

Highly recommended: Prawn fritter, Satay(chicken/mutton), fried oysters, silkly beancurd, and fried chicken. Above set is a must-get package. Almost majority of fried chicken stalls are delicious and juicy due to fast turnover. Beancurd are soft, silkly and sweetest is well concocted.
