Rembrandt Hotel Tokyo Machida (couple trip)

I stayed for two nights, Agoda didn't tell me it was going to be a smoking room, and the hotel wanted to put me in a smoking room, I was downgraded in bed size, my room smelled terrible, uncomfortable bed, dirty curtains and walls, overpriced and overall an old hotel, photos looks much better. I will never come back!

This is hotel is located near an overpass. The good thing is that aside from its back door leading out to convenience stores and other restaurants the2nd floor leads out to a walkway. This walkway leads to a mall across the street which also holda the machida JR station. The rooms are spacious. They clean and replace towels everyday. It also has a buffet testaurant on the second floor.

Staff were not friendly. They did not greet the guests at all. Such a disappointment in a country with well-known hospitality. Room was quite small for the price. Location is okay, 10 min walk from the station.

Very good location. 10 minutes walking distance from Machida Station. Standard amenities. Parking is available but not free. Has a good view of the city from the window. So many restaurants, izakaya and convenience stores are around. I found breakfast is expensive. Carpets are very old. I have stayed for 3 nights in a non-smoking room. But the pillow smelt like cigarette.
