Rooms are small, but this is the same with all Tokyo Hotels. It is near a train station but father away from Ueno Main Station. Maybe around 10mins walk. Staff are nice and always greets us when we arrive and leave the hotel

The best part about this hotel is the location. It's around 15 minutes' walk to Keisei Ueno Station, 10 minutes' walk to JR Ueno Station, and less than 5 minutes' walk to Inaricho Station (Ginza Line). The location is top tier, very safe but the rooms are smelly and extremely small, not at all what it looks like online. Bathroom is what actually smells and the hotel staff can be quite rude, in particular if you are African-American.

Very basic, fairly clean and functional room without attention to details. Small changes could have improved the the experience. There was no thoughtful use of the cramped space, such as consideration of where to open a carry on sized suitcase. The bed, pillows & sheets were comfortable. Overall an acceptable place to spend the night, but I would not go out of my way to return.
