HOTEL MYSTAYS Higashi Ikebukuro (solo trip)

If I could give zero stars I would. The bed/pillows were the most uncomfortable I’ve ever used at a hotel. The hotel is near a fire department or something and you could hear the sirens because the windows are so thin. It was so bad we booked another hotel and left. As far as location it’s a 10 min walk from the station but there’s no good food around. Save yourself and do not stay here.

They really need to check the best sheets before putting them on the beds. One of the sheets I had were dirty, the room really needs an upgrade. I expected it to be small so okay but there is a lot of wall space that could be better utilized. The staff was excellent. They were helpful in all my questions and service requested. the bed is very very uncomfortable, i could feel the bed springs in my back. the mattress cover was yellow and dirty and there is no room service. the staff are kind but not so accommodating

Room itself is nice enough and I had high hopes because it's near my work. I commute very far for my job (5-6 hours round trip most days), so sometimes if I have extra work to do and need more time to rest, I book in Tokyo. Amazing value for the price. Room is fairly large but a bit older compared to chains like APA and Toyoko, however it's very clean and cozy. Stove for cooking your own food aswell as a microwave and fridge. Laundromat on site with fair prices. Overall a decent business hotel. Nothing to complain about
