Dec 2025

One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I paid when I booked this hotel, I had all the receipts and everything but when I arrived for check in, they told me that I did not pay for the room. I showed receipts, emails, and proof on my credit card statement but still the rude desk woman didn’t want to do anything. I was stranded, so I was forced to pay again. I’ll be contacting my bank once...

We reported that our room is hot, and they just told us to open the vent, which does nothing. We called reception multiple times, but they refused to check or even offer to lower the temperature of their so-called “centralized” AC. Very disappointing. The room also smells like cigarettes.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Daiichi Hotel in Ryogoku. The hotel was clean, tidy, and well-maintained throughout our visit. Although the staff didn’t speak a lot of English, they were incredibly helpful and friendly. When we mentioned that we prefer a colder room to sleep in, they quickly brought us a fan since the heating was on — a small gesture that made a big difference. The location is...

There is absolutely no air conditioning. Right now, I can’t sleep because the heat is unbearable. It makes no sense that they refuse to turn on the AC in November. The room is extremely hot, with zero air circulation. They told us to open the window, but on the 23rd floor there is only a tiny vent that does nothing. This is unacceptable. I will never return.

When we arrived they messed up our reservation and many others in our group. The first room was so gross we requested a different room. The second room was less disgusting, but still dirty and disappointing. Attached are pictures of the sink and fan above the shower. Also a picture of the bed skirt with something spilled on it.
