We had a disappointing experience at Ascott Marunouchi Tokyo. While the room and location were excellent, the service and cold attitude of the staff were a letdown. Staff were unfriendly and inflexible throughout our stay. A very nice and practical stay. The room was clean and well-equipped with a small kitchenette and laundry, which is especially convenient for longer visits. However, the bathroom design—with a clear glass separating the toilet—lacks privacy and could be improved.

Rooms are tired and barely 3 to 4 star quality. Staff shut breakfast early and aggressively block access to the buffet, even if you’re just minutes late. Rude and inflexible. Avoid this place—you’ll regret it.

This hotel was a highlight of Tokyo. It was a beautiful, clean, spacious, and luxurious retreat to return to at night. We particularly enjoyed breakfast, the pool, and its location by the Royal Palace and train station. The staff was superb as always.
