If you greatly enjoy museums, this is a 5-star in Japan. If not, 4-star. It's a multi-independent structure museum. Some buildings are connected. Others you walk outside to enter. We paid 1000 Yen per person to enter. We visited the Art & History area. If you are looking for English placards, this is probably one of your very best options. Recommended.

I really enjoyed the garden, it had old tea houses in it and one cafe serving traditional matcha and tea the ceremonial way. If you are interested in Japanese culture and history this is for you. Really beautiful paintings and folding walls to. Th...

Don’t forget to check out the temporary exhibitions; there’s always something interesting to see. Theres also a very nice garden in the back to sit and relax. The gift shop has a very wide variety of books, souvenirs and...

I wish I had more time here as there was so much I wanted to see. They have comfortable couches in rest areas. Such an impressive gallery of items. I liked how the Japanese art section incorporated both ancient and modern art. I also enjoyed the g...

My favourite was the Asian building; there was such an array of Chinese and Indian historical artifacts. They really painted a picture of how China and India influenced surrounding countries/cultures, that was very cool. Really enjoy...
