Babies enter free, elevators and changing tables ease logistics, yet no dedicated nursing room, occasional stroller restrictions, and quiet spaces where crying echoes reduce overall convenience.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time to explore galleries, stroll the garden, and enjoy a café break without rushing with your baby.
Stroll the Japanese Garden:
Wander winding paths past koi ponds, stone lanterns, and teahouses.
Tip: Bring your stroller and ask staff for accessible routes around steps.
See the Swallow Flower Screen:
View Ogata Korin’s masterpiece, on display each May.
Tip: Plan your visit in May to catch this rare exhibit.
Relax at NEZUCAFÉ:
Sip matcha or coffee at counter seats overlooking the garden.
Tip: Use high chairs for your baby and time your break mid-visit.
Use Baby Facilities:
Access changing tables and multi-purpose restrooms on two floors.
Tip: Stop at the 1st floor restroom for a quiet feeding area.
Browse the Museum Shop:
Pick up iris-screen postcards and elegant stationeries.
Tip: Keep souvenirs light so you can carry them with your stroller.

A truly beautiful museum, showcasing exquisite artworks from the past within an equally stunning modern architectural setting. The new building is a masterpiece of taste and design, and the garden complements it perfectly, both are simply breathtaking.

the building is just very calming and we absolutely love the garden's zen vibe. But remember to use the insect repellent spray available at the garden entrance as there are a crazy amount of bugs!!! there isn't a vast range of art display but it's worthy just to visit the garden

A small-scale museum in the wealthy area in Tokyo (Omotesando). Architectural style of the main building is modern Japanese. The breath of exhibition is small which there are only dozens of exhibits in each room. The outdoor garden is beautiful and I consider it more exciting than the indoor exhibition.

Very high quality collections! Worth re-visit every time in Tokyo, the garden is so well designed & maintained, every step comes with a beautiful view 一步一景, like a natural painting. Every season it’d be beautiful. I’ll come back for summer & autumn view again & check out new exhibitions.
