Premier Hotel Nakajima Park Sapporo (solo trip)

I stayed 2 nights at the superior corner room during the start of winter. Dated and poorly maintained hotel - mould on corners of toilet tiles and mirror, peeling wallpaper, worn out carpets, scratches on doors. I didn’t mind it since I paid a low price. Over first ever visit to Japan, and so pleased we stayed here. The hotel was comfortable, quiet and clean. The location next to the Park was awesome as we walked through it everyday. Lots to eat and do all round the hotel and we found it very easy to get around town from this spot. We loved it!

PREMIER HOTEL NAKAJIMA PARK SAPPORO was a major disappointment. The property is in urgent need of renovation, particularly the standard rooms, which are extremely outdated. The superior rooms ain't any better. The corridor carpets are heavily stained, torn in several areas, and poorly lit, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere. We arrived the hotel on the first day of the stay. When we approached the lady on the front desk and requested to drop off the luggage, she showed not welcome attitude but still arranged to keep our suitcase so far. Absolutely stellar hotel. Worth paying extra for a “Superior” room on a high floor with a park view, and by all means the breakfast is worth it. Normally I don’t pay for hotel breakfast, but this one is amazing. And the staff throughout the hotel are absolutely amazing. I used to stay in various places around Sapporo, but now I just book this hotel every time.
