Grand Mercure Sapporo Odori Park (couple trip)

I had a very pleasant stay here. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the lobby area is stunning — modern, stylish, and a great spot to unwind. One of the highlights was definitely the complimentary afternoon beer and snacks, which made the experience feel extra special. Nice room, nice staffs. A bit far from the city center, but if you like to enjoy scenery around town it's locate near odori park. Subway is about 5 mins walk so not that far to go around town.

Quite a spacious room considering the hotel room sizes in Japan. Check in was quite efficient as they send you an email to pre-check in a day or two before your arrival. The hotel is rather dated, therefore the rooms are as well. Yellowish lights, lack of in-room amenities, super soft pillows (not my personal preference) and if you’re not driving, this hotel may be slightly far from the station.

Although the location was a bit inconvenient, I really enjoyed the lounge. I was especially happy to have draft Sapporo Classic beer there. The breakfast was great overall, especially the made-to-order section. I particularly loved the mini hamburger with chicken—it was absolutely delicious. It was a bit disappointing that I didn’t receive a room upgrade despite being a Platinum member.

We had a wonderful experience during our stay. We love the room that is big (and not the typical Japanese hotel rooms) and is clean! We love the size of the toilet and bath tub. We enjoyed the cocktails at night to wind down from a tiring day.
