Granbell hotel Tanuki Sapporo (solo trip)

This hotel was perfect. It was located at end of shopping market street so easy to get your bearings. Hotel staff were courteous and welcoming. Room was spacious, clean, and stocked with the essentials. Lobby was very big with multiple seating areas and thoughtful self serve water area.

I stayed at this hotel for four nights in early October 2025. I chose it mainly for its convenient location near Tanukikoji Shopping Street, which made exploring the area easy and enjoyable. Hotel is in an excellent location near the major shopping and entertainment streets. I like the overall decor of the hotel and the room which is of acceptable size and cosy. They managed to place a double bed and a small sofa and table in the room plus a good size toilet and shower area. They also have a public bath up on the roof. The price is very good and value for money.

Very new, modern and clean. Quite good location. Public bath facilities on top floor were very much appreciated. Will stay again if I'm back in Sapporo

Best hotel i've stayed in Japan for this price range. Rooms are big. Bathroom is fantastic with a shower room (instead of the plastic cubicle you usually get). And very creative with the lamp wire (see video). The only downside is that the nearest subway station is a bit far walk.
