Tanukikoji Shopping Street (couple trip)

We passed these streets and finally went through. There are lots of shops and eateries. The Beer Gardens were being set up nearby. It’s definitely in the hub of Sapporo, near Odori park, etc. Just don’t go to Exchangers to get currency exchanged. We made that mistake.

I love this shopping street – it’s like a covered arcade but still open at both ends, which gives it a nice open-air feel while still being sheltered. A very busy and vibrant place for food, drinks and shop. It’s a must stop in Sapporo especially for first time visitors. Walking distance from Sapporo station or with one stop subway ride. Suggest to walk if traveling light from Sapporo station to have a good view and feel of the city as well.
