Great place for family. We came in winter and it's free entry from Dec - March. Ski gear can be rent at 4000 ¥ for a whole day and ski lift is included. Separate ski lift ticket is also available for those who don't rent the gear. Free tubing was great too. Don't forget to buy the mascot doll "Kinotan".

We had so much fun !!! Snow Tubbing for free 💯 No Entrance fee needed. Snow tubbing has the short and long version. Can also ski and sled around the park. How to get there : Take the bus 106 from Makomanai Station to Takino Snow Park, dont follow what google maps say that you have to walk 42 mins to reach the park, instead just sit and wait in the bus because it will take you up the hill directl...

Because of the lack of snow the run is very short, about 100m and very difficult to get a smooth run. but you can play snowman in the snowfield below because the snow is very soft

Am here now on 25 Dec. Made this one of my checkpoints due to the great reviews on tubing and sledding. Perhaps today is not my day. Everything is closed and they only open one sledding lane which is half the usual distance. Much of the park is cordoned off and off limits for children with their own sleds 🥲

Wonderful resort! Best of all admission was free and the tubing was too! This place is a gem. Parking, rentals, and food were reasonable (3200y for adult 2200y for kids ski rental). No fancy runs today, but still a great place to enjoy with little kids and anyone learning to ski. Thank you!
Best snow from late December through March. Weekdays offer quieter slopes. Check daily trail status online.
