Hotel Hillarys Shinsaibashi (couple trip)

Location: Pretty good . Walking distance to major metro and shops. This was the main draw of this hotel. Rooms: Itsy bitsy teeny tiny. Bathroom was more like an airplane bathroom. We were fortunate enough to secure a room with a king sized bed. Service: They have a coffee machine but every day they put up an “out of order” sign in the mornings. I want to say thank you to the wonderful staff at the Hotel Hillary, who went above and beyond to help me retrieve a set of knives that I left behind in my room! They were so kind to help me coordinate shipping/logistics and fortunately I was able to get the knives back within a few weeks in my home country. Thank you again for your hospitality and help!

I have no idea how this is a 3 star hotel in Japan. It is easily one of the best hotel's i have stayed in and it was one of the cheapest. There was a hot spa that was very nice, and there were always complimentary bread and drinks in the hotel. Room was clean and comfortable and hotel staff were very friendly.

Good hotel with great location. The only issue was the room. I know hotels in Japan is normally smaller but the room given to us is extra smaller compared to other hotels here in Japan we stayed at which made it difficult for us to open our luggages. Going into my trip I knew rooms in Japan were going to be small, however this one was pretty big compared to Tokyo and Kyoto. It came equipped with a king size bed and plenty of space to put luggage.
