Garner Hotel Osaka Honmachi Station (solo trip)

Cleanliness is a big issue of this hotel. Found strands of hairs on beds and toilet bowl upon check in. Toilet smells foul and gives off a very grimey feeling. Def not up to Japan standards. Regret my decision booking this hotel.

We stayed six nights here mainly for its location next to the Honmachi station. It is also within walking distance to other attractions. On the whole, the place served its purpose although it doesn’t have a restaurant, so breakfast was not served (except for tour groups). We stayed here for ten days during our trip to Japan in summer 2025. The rooms were clean and comfortable and it was quiet. If you want to explore Osaka, it doesn't get any easier than being close to Honmachi Station. I just wish the basic appliances in our room (television, refrigerator, hot water kettle) would have worked.

Modern and clean place to stay. Not too busy. Near Hommachi station. Ground floor has a lounge where coffee, tea and water are available for guests. They have snacks and other drinks available for purchase. They provide basic amenities which you can help yourself with--dental and vanity kit, buds, comb, but not the facial amenities as provided by other hotels in Japan.

Honestly the rooms are a bit tight; and not much service since even the toothbrushes and little things were for grabs at the lobby. Doesn’t come with a restaurant but just a little lounge corner to have your own free coffee or takeaway food. Good location though, close to the metro station.
