Families gain value only if each child is over 132 cm; shorter kids must watch from stroller or use Child Switch, and the extreme speed may frighten some, so suitability is mixed.
Why 0.5-1 hour visit duration is ideal for with kids: Allows time for one ride, line management, and family photos without rushing kids.
Ride The Flying Dinosaur:
Soar face-down like a Pteranodon over Jurassic Park’s track.
Tip: Ensure each rider is at least 132 cm tall before queuing.
Use Universal Express Pass:
Skip the main line and reduce wait times.
Tip: Book your pass online in advance for the best price.
Switch with Child Switch:
Let adults take turns riding if a child is too short.
Tip: Ask staff for a Child Switch pass at the entrance.
Snap Photos at the Statue:
Take free selfies at the Pteranodon statue by the station entrance.
Tip: Arrive early to avoid crowds at the photo spot.
Buy On-Ride Photo:
Purchase a souvenir photo after your flight.
Tip: Check the photo station just outside the ride exit.

The Flying Dinosaur was my favorite ride at the park. Before you get on, you can store your things in free digital lockers. The ride takes you high up and gives you an amazing view of the park. It’s super fast with big drops, and really exciting. If you enjoy roller coasters, you should definitely try it!

This was by far my favorite ride at the park—I even went on it twice! As an adrenaline junkie, I loved it. While it’s not the scariest ride in the world, it’s easily the most intense one in the park. There are free lockers to store your belongings before riding. You must take off everything, including glasses and hats, and you’ll go through metal detectors to ensure you haven’t brought anything w...

The flying dinosaur is by far my favourite ride at universal studios Japan. The thrill of the roller coaster after waiting for hours is an amazing feeling. While riding up the view is amazing especially at night. Can’t wait to come back.

Best ride of the parc in my opinion. If you need glasses I would advice you get contact lenses for the day as this ride and many others ask you to remove glasses. For good reasons: you fly head facing down. Enjoy the amazing view of the parc during the first part of the ride (if you are not afraid of heights) and then, well, enjoy the adrenaline of flying and looping 😁

This is in my opinion the best roller coaster in USJ. It was really wild but smooth at the same time. However a bit too short. The staff was friendly but strict. They really checked to make sure nothing loose will fall out of your pocket. They should however put on more shades.
