Kids up to 12 can watch lions at Tennoji Zoo, climb at Bornelund PlayVille, tackle the harnessed rope course, and picnic on flat lawns; many toilets and water taps help parents manage active days.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Allows time for the zoo, indoor play, a picnic break and a stroll without rushing younger children.
Tennoji Zoo:
See lions, giraffes, koalas and more across stroller-friendly paths.
Tip: Arrive by 10:00 to catch the morning feeding in the African Savanna zone.
Friendship Garden Petting:
Meet and gently feed sheep and goats in a small fenced area inside the zoo.
Tip: Head here right after the zoo entrance to avoid midday crowds.
Bornelund Playville:
Indoor playground with ball pools, climbing walls, crafts and sand-water play.
Tip: Book the 30-minute or 60-minute slot online to match kids’ energy levels.
Picnic on Tenshiba Lawn:
Wide open grass area near Tennoji Station for snacks and free play.
Tip: Bring a blanket and simple bento to relax under shaded trees.

Very peaceful and relaxing park to just slow down and enjoy the moment. Multiple groups come here to hang out, play soccer, eat, and enjoy nature. The views are nice, the lawn is well maintained and there are multiple food options nearby. Honestly a great park.

Beautiful park in heart of Osaka with plenty of cherry trees waiting to fully bloom in the next couple days. It is adjacent to a zoo. Easy get in by using public transportation (bus, JR trains). There is a scenic spot where you can take a nice photo of Tsutenkaku tower.

Its not a bad place, unfortunately some of the places were closed off or in construction like the zoo, which limited sightseeing. However it was a peaceful and serene experience. I recommend for a little exploration 🤞
