Hands-on experiments, a casual café, and an adjacent park provide shared activities, yet the compact two-floor layout offers limited variety for a long romantic outing.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for couple trip: Couples can explore five themed courses, join a hands-on tour, enjoy the café, and stroll in Utsubo Park in one visit.
Self-guided Hall Tour:
Walk two floors covering New Materials, Happy Life, Observing the Earth, Information & Images, and Energy.
Tip: Pick up English leaflets at the desk and start early to move at your own pace.
Experiment Tour:
Join a small group to build circuits or test material samples with staff guidance.
Tip: Email or call at least two weeks before to reserve spots for both of you.
Techno-kun Healthy Club:
Use a robot to measure height, weight, and muscle power, then get your “physical strength age.”
Tip: Challenge each other and compare results. Book this during your experiment tour.
On-site Café Break:
Order hot or cold drinks, light snacks, and simple meals in the hall’s café area.
Tip: Try matcha latte and rest on the bench near the entrance for people-watching.
Utsubo Park Stroll:
Walk three minutes north to see the rose garden, pond, and walking paths.
Tip: Visit in spring for blooming roses or pack snacks for a small picnic under the trees.

Nice exhibition in the science field, with a lot of animation icon easier to interact with children for the basic knowledge, also suitable for adults.

Great place to spend a day with kids. It was free and kids were occupied for half of the day. A large park is just outside so the remainder of the day was spent there.
Mohammad Muquit
A cozy science exhibition for children for experiencing things related to energy, e.g., electric, nuclear, wireless, etc. Good place, but there's still space for improvement in designing the hands on experiences so that kids get involved in learning with more interest.
Takashi Nakamura
It's Cute, a pretty straightforward museum geared towards school children. Adults can also find some exhibits quite interesting. Worth a visit if you've got some time to kill on your hands. There are some interactive exhibits also.

I've not been good at science since my childhood. Anyway the experiment time at school was like the hell for me. But in this science and techno exhibition hall I could enjoy learning science such as the process of iron and metal making, construction comparison between pyramids in Egypt and modern high-rises, frontline of space development, and so on. We can do some simple experiment in the hall...
