Children enter free and workshops add hands-on learning, yet most exhibits are look-only and require soft voices, so curiosity may wane after about an hour unless a special kids program is running.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Gives enough time to see the permanent collection, join a workshop, and take a snack break without rushing.
Permanent Collection Galleries:
Browse Chinese and Japanese paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and lacquer works.
Tip: Start on the first floor and follow the signs to spot colourful pottery that kids enjoy.
Children’s Art Workshop:
Join free seasonal workshops and art games designed for families.
Tip: Check the event board on arrival and sign up early at the information desk.
ENFUSE Café Terrace:
Relax over art-inspired sweets and light meals with garden views.
Tip: Order the art-shaped pastry set; terrace seating gives kids space to move.

Visited the Van Gogh exhibition. Wonderful exhibition with great execution by the museum. Also you should check out their regular exhibit as well.

I visited in the evening thinking it would be relatively empty, but it was full of people because of its popularity.

While the Van Gogh exposition was nice, at it put a Japanese touch on the subject, the permanent exposition was disappointing to say the least, both in terms of quantity and of quality. The basement anime style drawing gallery is a nice bonus.

While the garden is a nice brief visit, the museum itself is nearly empty. The only exhibits to be found are on the second floor, and the rest of the museum is either off-limits or simply barren. Maybe in the future their collection will improve but as of now this is a place to skip.

Dont waste your time and money, it's such a small exhibit, you can pass it through in 10 minutes. Alot of pots and dishes, If that interest you, a few nice statues, but again really not worth it. It's an embarrassment for a city museum. The building looks good and the staff are nice.
