Child half-fare, open decks, safety rails and weekend music fit ages 4-12, but no elevators, basic toilets and possible motion sickness mean caregivers must supervise closely throughout.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: A 45-minute cruise plus boarding, deck exploration, and snacks fits well within 1–2 hours for a family outing.
Board the Day Cruise:
Join the 45-minute loop to see the Tempozan Ferris Wheel, Minato Bridge, and Osaka Aquarium from the sea.
Tip: Arrive 15 minutes early and head to the upper deck for the clearest views.
Walk the Observation Decks:
Explore open decks on the 1st and 4th floors to watch cargo ships and the city skyline.
Tip: Let kids lean on the low safety rails and bring hats for sun protection.
Try Onboard Café Snacks:
Share soft-serve ice cream, rice burgers, and Osaka-style frankfurters while cruising.
Tip: Carry small change and order ice cream early to avoid lines.
Enjoy Live Music Shows:
Catch free, family-friendly music performances on weekends.
Tip: Check the daily event board at the pier before boarding.

Santa Maria twilight cruise is a fantastic experience! You get to cruise near the Osaka Expo and see it from another point of view. The ship itself is beautiful too.

It was a bit hot; if you come on a summer afternoon, I would recommend coming in the evening. However, when the cruise starts to move, it will get better because of the wind. The cruise was big and contained about 4 floors, on which you could choose the seat by yourself. It has a restaurant that you can buy some drinks and food from. The staff was nice.

Caution! the whole boat was so sting with engine smell if you are allergic to ...
