Positives:

  • Baby Facilities: Free nursing rooms and stroller rentals at the aquarium and Garden Pier Information Center.
  • Free admission for baby: Children under 4 enter the aquarium, observatory and museum buildings at no cost.

Challenges:

  • Crowds at peak hours: Aquarium shows draw lines. Plan for feeding breaks to avoid restless little ones.
  • Limited shade on pier: Few covered spots along the promenade in summer heat.

A major tourist attraction that easily reachable from Nagoyako subway station. This is where half of Nagoya population spend their weekends on. Many major tourist attractions are located here and it's a perfect pkace to visit if you have young children. Can be strikingly hot during the summer so be sure to wear the proper attire. I recommend visiting in the morning or in the afternoon.
