Urban Hotel Kyoto Gojo Premium (with baby)

The hotel rooms are small but clean, but it was almost impossible to sleep in the rooms facing the road on Saturday night. There are converted cars with extremely loud exhausts driving on the road from late evening until early morning.

We stayed for three nights here. I would consider this to be a Japanese style higher end hotel. Overall, the hotel is equivalent to any Hilton or Marriott property, though it is in a Japanese style instead of American. The room was well appointed and modern. The bathroom was very nice. Rooms are Great! The hotel staff are very helpful. The 2 star service is for...almost any amenity the hotel offers, gym, breakfast, even an ice bucket must be paid for. Also there is no TV...as there are no channels, you can either select YouTube or news. Not sure if this is standard practice for Japanese hotels, if it is I will edit this review.

This hotel is very good price value. The Onsen is very correct (sauna included). The fact they make you pay for the gym is ridiculous even if it is 1000¥ for 2h. The breakfast meets the standards of the level you would expect from this kind of hotels. Rooms are good, bed is comfortable and bathroom is in very good conditions.
