Sotetsu Fresa Inn Kyoto-Kiyomizu Gojo (couple trip)

Great location, just a 7 minute walk to a nearby scalp spa (I would highly highly recommend, this is on a whole other level than the scalp spas I’ve tried back home in Toronto), and within walking distance of many places of interest. Everything was great except my forwarding luggages to another hotel in Tokyo. Clothes and gifts were wet due to transporting. I'm not sure what contracting services that the hotel used, it seemed the carrier did not cover the luggages when transporting in the rain. Since I can't speak Japanese and don't know how to complain this problem to the hotel. So be aware when use the service.

Great location

My stay was quite pleasant. It is walkable to main places under 20mins. Although it was a good hotel, it was not entirely great during my 4night stay: my room had no natural daylight and I saw mosquitoes and suffered mosquito bites in the room. The beds also aren’t very comfortable. It’s a nice hotel but not a dreamy stay.

We had a great experience at this hotel in Kyoto. The reception is very welcoming and warm. They greet you even if you are leaving the hotel. They provide almost all the amenities at the reception so you would not feel that something is missing in fact, you are getting extras which you will not find in other hotels like beauty masks.
