Sanco Inn Kyoto Hachijoguchi Shikinoyu (couple trip)

We chose this hotel primarily for its strategic location right next to Kyoto Station. The rooms are compact, as expected from typical Japanese hotels. The cleanliness standards are excellent. Overall, I would recommend this property. However, the 10:00 a.m. check-out time is not aligned with standard hospitality practices, and we had to pay an additional fee for a late check-out.

Location is great. Right in front of Kyoto station. Only complain i have is that they don’t do room service for 4 days. Not even cleaning room or making bed. Room is not well designed, it’s big but its not efficient. I really liked services like free rental items and coin laundry. Overall it was great. Breakfast was also great

The location is excellent and very convenient, but unfortunately the rest of the experience was not on the same level. The rooms are extremely small; I booked a Deluxe Room for my parents expecting more comfort, but the difference compared to our regular room was only about one square meter. The location across from the main train station is excellent and provides easy access to various forms of transportation. There are, of course, 7/11 stores nearby, as well as a variety of other convenience stores at the station. The hotel's breakfast is very good which is basically Kyoto cuisine buffet style. Need buy the coupon at the hotel lobby vending machine. Although it about ¥2000, it's a has a great variety of Kyoto home cooked food to savour. Stayed 4 nights and had breakfast daily. Highly recommended.
