Rihga Royal Hotel Kyoto (solo trip)

This is a nice looking hotel. For whatever it's worth, the lobby and hallways are kept a little warm. The beds are comfortable and the hotel offers three different daily cleaning options. It is your choice to what degree of cleaning you want. No extra charge. The cleaning staff do a very nice job! The nice thing about this location is that it is within 7 minutes of walking to the Kyoto station...

I wish I could give this hotel a better review. However, a lot of the amenities that I am used to that are included in the hotel price were not available, such as the pool and gym area. Booked a room a year ago city views double room. We are looking at a brick wall. Room overstocked which makes it crowded. Restaurant reserved for tours and had to eat in overpriced Bar area. Hallways and landings overgenerous which could have been used for larger rooms. Facilities are good. Overall would nit stay here again. Certainly overpriced.

We arrived here early and they came to nus quickly to check our bags, so we could go explore the city until check in time arrived. This hotel is beyond beautiful! I wish I would have taken more pictures. The bedroom was a good size, clean and comfortable. If you can, go the buffet, everything was delicious!!
