LOISIR HOTEL CLASSIC GARDEN KYOTO SANJO (couple trip)

How this hotel is listed as a four star hotel is beyond me. This would fall more in a 2.5 star category. Feels extremely outdated and a little icky. First impression was walking into the lobby bathrooms and toilets being extremely unkept and filled with waste. Going to the rooms was not much better. Basic rooms that were clean enough. The hotel looks old, the breakfast meats were cold and lacked variety. Luckily there is a 7-eleven right outside the entrance so I purchased smoothies. There is also a McDonald's 3 minutes away(walking). The best thing about the hotel is its proximity to other restaurants and convenience stores.

EDIT: due to their luggage forwarding system (you have to fill out a form online, the front desk won’t talk to you), they sent our suitcase to an island off the coast of Tokyo rather than our hotel in Tokyo. Great hotel. Location was just perfect as there is a train station right next to the hotel. Great service from the front desk and they give you complimentary drinks. Rooms were great. Modern, lighting was adequate, and the bathroom was huge. The shower was the best feature!!!!

This hotel was worth for the price as I had been around Tokyo, Osaka and now Kyoto, this hotel gave me modern and classic style.
