Amazing location! Staff barely speak English. Almost no natural light in the room. No wardrobe. Not enough places in the breakfast area and queuing after 09h.

I usually don’t leave negative reviews but unfortunately this is an important one. The hotel is actually very nice, the location is good and the staff is helpful. HOWEVER, there was a very bad smell in our room and all over the hallway. Seriously rotten odor that just doesn’t go away. Terrible for people sensitive to smell. I saw a few other reviews mentioned that as well.

Great location. Clean hotel. Nice sized room. A solid place to stay in Kyoto.

Rooms are nice and clean but can do with a little maintenance. Our bath had a leakage but the hotel manager fixed this up nicely. Breakfast is a skip in my opinion

Great price and location. The room was bigger than my previous hotel room in Tokyo which was a surprise. The room was clean but some things could’ve been cleaner like the remote control but otherwise our stay was comfortable. The laundry was convenient to have on site. The location is great as it’s a short walk to the train station and several restaurants.
