This hotel is like a hidden gem at the periphery of Kyoto. The room is decently sized. It offers laundry inside the room. Doors require a pin code so it's extra secure. There's plenty of space to open your luggage. There is an area where you can cook. A microwave is provided just outside the room. Amenities are near the elevator. The bathroom does not have a bidet, but it's a not a big problem ...

Hopetree Kyoto is a cozy and well-equipped small property, offering complete facilities like a washing machine, dryer, sink, refrigerator, and more. The option to pick amenities before entering the room is a nice touch. Just note that all Kyoto hotels have an additional “historical place” tax of JPY400/day, payable in cash during check-in.

A cozy, yet calm place to sleep after a long day or two of travel, it is equipped with whatevr is needed for the weary traveller. My wife and I stayed here for a few days in February. The staff were friendly. The rooms were very nice, and we definitely loved having a burner to cook on, a washer, a dryer, and a sink. It made meals much more convenient. There is a convenience store very close as well as some sightseeing within walking distance. The only complaint I have is that we were charged for tax (or something similar) up...
